Hi Larry, On this list you're likely to run into a few anti-compiler and anti-basic people, don't let it get to you. MELabs has its own mail list for PBP, you can search it here: http://list.picbasic.com/cgi-bin/board-search.cgi You'll also find instructions on how to join it. Recently there's been a couple problems with the server and many of the list have been active on a web-based forum here: http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/. You'll find much more PBP specific help on those. To answer your other question, yes it's appropriate to post code with a question. When possible it's best to whittle the code down to a minimum that produces the problem, but make sure you include the defines and control register settings, they might be relevant. One more thought about posting in general, not specifically aimed at you, but this seems like as good a time as any to say it: Spend as much time formulating your question as you want other people to spend answering it. Poorly worded, horrible spelling, inappropriate or no capitalization are enough for many people to ignore the post. Good luck -Denny > Hi Folks, > > I am new to PIC programming and a new member of this list so please bear with me > if I am asking the wrong questions ;-) > > I have written my first PIC program which is quite complex for a first attempt > (it is for a specific hobby related project).
