I don't have the prototype(or the code) for the putcUSART (xx)
routine, you are sure that doesn't add anything ? or require the
char to be printable ?=20
Anyway, I know you said you wanted everything to work in Win-terminal, =
but
as an debugging aid, get the Terminal program below:

And enable hex display, then you should get an clearer view of exactly
what the PC recieves. If it indeed is what you are assuming, then mark
it up as an Win-Terminal 'feature' ;)

I loathe the Win-Terminal, yes I know it's included in windows but it =
still
is really bad.
