What is CR defined as?  Check the generated assembler to be sure.
mnemonic constants are great except when they're not what you
expected them to be.  Thanks to the whole unix/dos/etc end-of-line
oddness, some constants are not what you expect :-(

You don't have a network connection in there anywhere, do you?
That can introduce additional problems...
