>I asked someone at Advanced Circuits about that once, and they replied >honestly that they don't really make much money on their prototype service, >and don't offer the service to give away cheap PC boards. Their purpose is >to attract customers who then hopefully move on to production orders with >them. I have a prototype product, that due to mechanical reasons...has several boards that stack on top of each other. I need 3 separate boards to have a finished prototype. It is ironic that their thinking, is the exact thing that drives me away from using their service...because otherwise...I would have to order 5 of each of the three boards, and throw a bunch away just to get one debugged system. If I have to run all 3 boards separate, the price is no longer attractive at all....it is actually MORE expensive than high-priced competitors who will allow me to put all 3 on one panel. I hadn't seen this company before...until it was posted here on PIClist. Due to their limitations I would probably never use them. - Ted -- http://www.piclist.com#nomail Going offline?
