A 50MHz Scenix will do 200 instructions in 4us. In operating
speed terms it's 5 times faster than a 40MHz PIC, with a very
similar instruction but less sophisticated (eg no movff and
no fancy h/w modules either) so will run most s/w at less than
5x PIC. If you really need an accurate 4us or less IRQ source
then a Scenix would do the job
