For what it's worth, I have a cheap 4x6 inch laminator, and by attempts at toner transfer using this were a dismal failure - no adhesion at all. Perhaps I should have let it warm up longer, or perhaps smaller laminators just don't get hot enough... I'm inclined to agree that if you're going to shell out over $100 for equipment, you might be better off spending that on supplies for the photo based process. If you already HAVE a laminator that works, that's slightly different. FWIW, I pay $0.02/sq inch of double sided unsensitized PCB material, in arbitrarily small quantities. That's about 1/5 the price that someone quoted for photo-sensitive board, and there's no developer to worry about either. The toner transfer method is attractive IF you already have access to the equipment. Otherwise, it's not all that great... (so new laser printers are down to about $100 each these days. has anybody tried printing direct to copper?)
