I agree. Anyway, the MSP430F149 is a very nice processor,  you can only
gain by learning another skill. If you are good at assembly language
programming it shouldn't take long to pick it up (download the data and
see for yourself). In some ways the MSP430 line is complementary to
Microchip's line.
