For me, the choice was rather simple. The laminator I have was free (I had to fix it). I can buy unsensitised PCB blanks for rather cheap at my local surplus shop (I believe they are offcuts from manufacturers). And, in the unlikely event that I get a bad toner transfer, I can see it before I etch, and just scrub the toner off the board and have another go at it. I wouldn't mind trying photo transfer someday, but toner transfer seems to be the way for me at the moment.
