I've no idea what they're called, or where to get them, but under the bonnet
of most cars you'll find a variety of waterproof connectors that might be
suitable.

Typically black plastic, oval (well, rounded ends), locking catch on one
side, normally have a color coded concertina rubber section in the middle.
They are waterproof, and I've seen them from as small as 2 pin, up to 12
(the lead going to the ignition amp on my car).
