As much prob as the Brits seem to have getting parts that we get in the US just by walking around the block (exaggeration) I wonder if that works the other way. I think we've got things worked out here with a different mfg for the XTALs and ceramics. I'd say what chip I'm using, but if my customer's lurking here and finds out, he may just try it himself. The things are such no-brainers. 14 pin SOIC Tx & 8-pin SOIC ASK Rx chips. But the data rate is sloooowwwww. So don't feel bad. I could get away with 32bps for this app, even slower!
