Yes.  Old trick.  Look at the cards you can choose from, then look at
the cards he says are left after taking yours away:

K Heart
J Club
K Spade
Q Diamond
Q Club
J Diamond

Q Heart
K Spade
J Heart
Q Spade
K Diamond

He loses if you choose King of Spades.  Otherwise, he wins.

Notice how he only gives you barely enough time to verify that your card
is missing?
