Hi, Folks. I'm considering buying a Tektronix 545B oscilloscope for my first oscilloscope, just cuz it's (there's that darned word again :O) ) cheap - $50 at my local electronics shop. At that price I'm afraid it might be a lemon, although the seller swears up an down that it works like a dream. Because it apparently doesn't have too many tubes (I think a lot of its circuitry is transistorized), I'm thinking it might be a good buy for a first 'scope. Any of you oldsters out there have one of these still? Are they any good? How about parts availability and ease of repair? Thanks! - Robert -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The list server can filter out subtopics (like ads or off topics) for you. See http://www.piclist.com/#topics
