nah.   IIRC, while the 1802 ran at up to 10MHz (when powered
by 12V), it also used something like 16 (!) cycles per
instruction, compared to four for the PIC.  A weird beast
by todays standards; something like 16 pointer registers.
And of course the famous "sex" instruction.
