Hi!



I'm building a home security device, and want to add a microphone to the device so the pic can detect very faint
sounds...



Furthermore, I'm trying to build this circuit with the cheapest possible electronics.  The PIC I will use will be the
18F252.



How can I detect the sound level to detect very faint sounds?

-    What type of inexpensive microphone should I use?  (and what is a good source to purchase them?)

-    What simple circuit will give me the pickup I need?
