Samuel, I'm interested in this too, mostly SAE J 1939. I'd like to share with you, please let me know (offline if you choose) what you decide to work with, it would be nice to swap notes. If I find anything useful, I'll pass it on to you. SOFTWARE: I've been looking for some CANopen stuff to get me started on a network protocol layer, have you found any links that give (at least) function headers to supply in order to be conformant? I have not found more than some discriptive academic papers and the like. Some interesting one's, but not what I need. I'm looking for an outline of a "minimal spec" in the form of function headers and description of basic behavior. HARDWARE: I've seen a MCHP development board based upon the MCP250XX chip. Do you, or anyone here know if this is a good deal? It is about $169 here, I think it comes with CAN bus sniffer / chip programmer too. I'm using the free C18 compiler. This would be a nice addition to my PICDEM2+, and fairly cheap to get "online" as it were. Can this (the MCP250XX series chip) be made to work with SAE 1959? Or is the behavior strictly MCHP specific? RHETORICAL: Why can't this information be free?.....I'd like to use the standard, but $500 or 500 euro is too much to spend for a book of regulations? Good luck Samuel. Dan Devine On Wed, 2003-12-10 at 09:57, Samuel BOUQUET wrote: > Hello, > > 1) > I'm looking for documentation about ISOBUS (ISO11783).
