Maybe I'll start them out with the LogoPIC language. :)

Seriously, thanks for your link and your comments. I was thinking of maybe
starting them off with some macros or functions so they could create their
own LED flashing sequences. I won't be dumping raw full-ledged assembly
language on them just yet...
