Keep in mind that the dsPIC is still very new to the field organization. In fact, since the dsPIC is not officially released yet, the field organization has no reponsibility for it yet. You probably had an early version of the 30F6010 (motor control family) or 30F6014 (general purpose family). I've got both data sheets in front of me right now, and PGC and PGD are on pins 19 and 20 of both parts. There are no alternates listed for these. However, 19/20 are also the default EMUC/EMUD pins, which can be remapped to EMUC1/EMUD1 at 60/59, EMUC2/EMUD2 at 58/61, and EMUC3/EMUD3 at 45/43. I do think this makes sense. It means that the part can always be erased and programmed (PGC/PGD at fixed pins), but you have flexibility in deciding which other functions to give up if you want to build ICD2 capability into your circuit. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
