Apparently, come December 30th, we're all doomed by a "mystery
planet" coming too close and turning the Earth over. Fortunately,
phew, help is at hand in the form of a lady in Wisconsin who's
channelling aliens. Exactly why they care isn't clear. She did think
that it would happen back in May, but heck, unreliable planets,
waddaya gonna do

If these people (and I'm surprised TVNZ managed to track down
a couple of local loonies who had no qualms about interviews)
have enough money to go burying ship's containers full of provisions,
presumably left over from 1/1/2000, I'm sure I could sell them all
manner of cosmic and pyschic detectors made from PICs and LEDs.
Except by the time I get there every conman and scam artist in the
country will be queued up at their doors grinning like Cheshire cats
and rubbing their hands in glee
