That's is the key here. The ADC input is measuring *voltage* and
you can not *force* a significant current into that pin (without
putting a too high voltage on the pin, but your voltage divider
will take care of that, right ?) Nothing magical, just ohms law.

You can only do that by putting a to high *voltage* on the pin.
Just don't do that and everything should be fine...
