I've been thinking of a project for a while now where I would need to get
live images from a camera into VB so I could do object detection.

I haven't decided on a camera yet, but it'll probably just be a cheap USB
webcam. The camera will be looking at a blank wall with a lased diode dot.
I need to 'find' the dot and produce relative X and Y coordinates.

Cycling through the bits of an image is straightforward enough, but I'm not
sure how to read the images from the camera.


Suggestions?
