You could fill the connector with a non-curing silicone grease if you need to take it on and off a lot. It's often sold as 'valve lubricant'. It will stick nicely to your contacts and has excellent dielectric properties. We fill our of our outdoor RF connectors with this. It really helps to keep the water out. If you're not removing the plug very often, you could also try a duct sealer putty type compound.
