I cut down a length of (living, supple) bamboo and made a cutout about an inch above the septum. I filled the cavity with water to stabilize the temperature at reading time, slid a thermometer inside the inter-septum cavity, cut a point on the end of the rod, and placed at the depth I wanted. The pile was about 6' x 6' x 4'. It stayed fairly stable at 70C, so long as I replentished the pile's evaporation loss. - --- Aubrey McIntosh http://www.piclist.com/member/AM-vima-Y84 PIC/PICList FAQ: http://www.piclist.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 7.0.3 for non-commercial use iQA/AwUBP84RrAKlSw8yssF7EQIJ1gCgsFfW9/3JmrBYf7JgVKaxhu+odh0AoPzm vkpawybub11PcnIUQbGEyy/D =ao63 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY!
