Hi!

I'm following the discussion about the best way to
switch 220V light bulbs. What would be the best way to
turn a small AC motor ON and OFF? I'm thinking of PIC
driven optotriac (MOC 3061) with z-c detection and a
power triac to turn the motor on. I don't need any
speed regulation. Is that doable? Any pitfals? I tried
with mechanical relays, but there seems to be too much
noise and my processor keeps resetting.
