Outhouse Excuse used to put the quotes in for me by default, but I can't remember where it put my cursor. I do know that the help file for OE and IE was incredibly easy to use. Just type in a few letters of say, "quote" in the help index text box and something about quoteing text in replies should come up. You should be able to select which character to use. Select ">" because some people set heir readers to display quoted text in a different color. Don't use oddball characters like "-", it makes it hard to follow a thread. BTW, the PICList FAQ page puts the TAG inside brackets and the colon outside. The links on the main PICList page have the colon inside the bracket. James Newton, our webmaster (our = subscribers ) sent me a bunch of info and it mentioned that the colon is better put inside the brackets to protect it from e-mail clients that might hose the TAG. Also BTW. PegasusMail is a good replacement for OE and Netscrap mail clients. www.pmail.gen.nz BRs, Mike -- http://www.piclist.com hint: The PICList is archived three different ways.
