People pay money for servers and bandwidth to send it, clients pay isps for spam filtering, backbones charge for traffic, everyone is happy. Excepting me (i have the same email address since 1996). Bayesian filters are being defeated now. I get spam now that contains dictionary words, spelled right, and no clue as to what they advertise. The embedded url offers no clues as to the product. A bayesian filter that will kill such a mail will kill mail from your lawyer equally well (if not better) (some words used are legalese etc).
