I'll try this response box at the archive again and see if it works this time. I got an e-mail from James Newton yesterday alerting me to a mangled tag. He sent a pile of info and though it's ok to put the colon in either place, well, heres the quote: The colon (:) IS required. It can be after the ] but this can cause some email clients to remove the tag when replying (they think it's a re: or fw:) so it is best to put it inside the []'s and that may be how my tag got mangled, but this is the first time it happened. As soon as I reposted... It's suggested that: You can ensure that more people see your post by selecting the appropriate tag and re-sending your post with that tag at the start of the subject. Because the list server tries to block duplicate posts, you will need to include a short note to the effect that this is a repeat posting with a corrected tag. ... the original post (posted over 3 hours prior) showed up on the list ( the one with the mangled tag got archived but didn't get sent to anyone unless they subscribed to [OTHER:] ) as well as a pile of others I didn't get at the same time I got James' message, but should have. BRs, Mike Well, the email submission form from the archive page brought up my message window, but the body had to be pasted in.That's an easy fix. Hell, I'll just gift wrap it and send it to him. -- http://www.piclist.com hint: To leave the PICList mailto:piclist-unsubscribe-request@mitvma.mit.edu
