There would also be another ambiguity introduced because MBs have a Primary and Secondary controller, each, IIRC, driving a Master and Slave or at least a first and second on the Secondary IDE controller. And then of course there's the Flip-Flop. People should just shut up when there no obvious improper connotation, like referring to the Master as "Massa", or the slave as "boy" or worse.
