I used to use the Hopewell VOR for going in and out of Jamestown airport
  while I was getting my pilot's license at the flying club at Fort
Eustis. Both of my parents grew up in the area (williamsburg and
gloucester) and my grandparents still live in Toano. I was born in
Richmond, grew up in Mechanicsville and then NoVa, and moved to CA last
December.

Anyone fly out of Jamestown? I remember the old terminal with the big
overstuffed leather chairs and the large dog (labrador?). Although I was
small at the time so the chairs and the dog might not have been that large.
