That's the nature of something this distributed.  I've actually received
replies to my messages before receiving my original message back.

In the last few days I've noticed a higher than usual number of threads that
I never see the original of, just replies.  Of course that could just be a
rash of bozos not tagging their original posts correctly, and someone who
has untagged or OT enabled replying and fixing the tag.
