Well....I read over most of that document....very good. =20 Still confused about those "Single Shot" things....would a TX/RX on say = the Serial port show up if setup to trigger? Or would the next wave of = nothing overwrite it? I guess what I'm asking is can an Analog O'Scope be setup to keep = displaying a screen once a trigger is set on a channel? Maybe an example.... I set up the scope to trigger when channel one goes to 5v...the total = screen covers 100 ms. When channel one goes to 5v I want it to show me that 5 volt pulse and the = next 100ms....nothing else. Both Channel 1 and 2 are showed. =20 Maybe I'm asking to much...maybe I need to look for both a scope and a = logic analyzer? Thanks for the step in the right direction! Tim >>> rwybeaker@hotmail.com 11/24/03 03:05PM >>> Tim, For some reason my messages are bouncing off the list. I think the = problem=20 is that I've recently changed emails. Anyway, the best reference I've seen for learning how to use an oscilloscop= e=20 is Tektronix's "XYZs of Oscilloscopes". It should be downloadable from=20 their web site at=20 http://www.tek.com/Measurement/fundamentals/scopes/literature/XYZs_of_Scope= s_English.pdf=20 It is 60 some pages long. Explains everything you need to know to get=20 started. Of course it is Tek-centric but you will get the idea. Forward this to piclist if you wish.
