I have moved many programs from VS 5 and 6 to gcc/Linux. As long as you stick to good old standard C, there is nothing unusual about VS, other than the way it prefers to handle include files. And its scheme of using stdafx.h works just fine on other compilers, it's just that there's no advantage to doing it unless you are in VS. Obviously, if you start using MFC or making Win API calls, you are going to be limited as to where you can easily port it. But the same holds true if you make calls to KDEor Enlightenment. 72/73 de WB8RCR http://www.qsl.net/wb8rcr didileydadidah QRP-L #1446 Code Warriors #35 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike" To: Sent: Monday, November 24, 2003 11:37 AM Subject: Re: [OT]: > Not true.
