I was going through some of my older Microchip parts and stumbled across a Microchip part that is marked: 76001 ES A3 That's all, nothing else (not even a logo). The obscure marking is really surprising to me, so I'm curious what it is. It is an 18-pin, plastic DIP part with no Microchip logo on it. There is no other marking on the face of the chip except the aforementioned two lines (the printing is not laser etched). The ES indicates that it is an engineering sample. I believe I received this around the year 1999, but for the life of me, I can't remember what Microchip part it is -- it might not be a PICmicro. It's simply not worth wasting Microchip's time on this, so I thought I'd ask here instead. Does anybody know for sure what part this is? A search on Microchip's search engine came up empty. I am absolutely 100% positive this part came from Microchip. Maybe someone else who also was a Third Party member back then remembers receiving this part from Al Lovrich at Microchip? Thanks very much. Best regards, Ken Pergola -- http://www.piclist.com hint: PICList Posts must start with ONE topic: [PIC]:,[SX]:,[AVR]: ->uP ONLY! [EE]:,[OT]: ->Other [BUY]:,[AD]: ->Ads
