Connect a TLC2272 op amp to +/-12V sometime and see what happens...
but don't have your finger on it when you turn the power on!

More appropriate to Independence Day (Bastille Day, Guy Fawkes Day,
Chinese New Year, or whatever your local fireworks-oriented holiday is)
than an electronics lab!
