Well, if you get enough "orders" (enough to offset shipping --$10 to me for
a couple doz. parts)  you can purchase pretty cheaply from the xilinx online
orders page.  Also, you may consider the xl series as they are a quite a bit
cheaper.  The 9572xl in your favored 44 pin plcc is going for $1.90 (single
qty) off the xilinx page.  These are 5v tolerant 3 volt logic so the only
addition to your circuit should be a $.50 3.3v regulator like an LM1117.
You may have extra shipping charges issue being in canada though; I'm not
sure.  If you need someone to mail through regular post from the US, let me
know.
