Well, hello! I have been searching on the net and I could not resolve my doubt...It is about how to calculate Rmax and Rmin for a pull-up. Well, yes, I know that if i use a 10K resistance it would work fine... but let's do some numbers... We have a PIC, and one output with open-colector and two devices connected to this pin. Let's take CMOS values: Voh=4,6V Vol=0,4V Vih=3,5V Vil=1,5V || Iil= -1uA Iih=1uA Ioh=-360uA Iol=0,36mA || VCC =5V Well, I have been thinking on how to calculate Rmax and Rmin for a pull-up resistance. Please tell me if this is right... Rmax = (VCC-Voh)/(Ioh*number of devices) Rmin = Vol/Iol ; I take maximum Iol from all devices.. is it correct ?
