Can PICs drive USB devices?  If so, there are some USB Bluetooth dongles
that are starting to get cheap.  http://quozl.netrek.org/bluetooth/ has
a coverage map I made with a GPS and a USB Bluetooth dongle yesterday.

$200 seems a bit expensive though.  These things were only about $30.
