Aside from that, a PC DIMM is simply too big, and WAY overkill for the application. As someone here has mentioned SRAM parts are quite cheap, so I don't see the benefit of adding the complication of DRAM in DIMM form. BTW, I am aware of SODIMM, which is much smaller, but that gets into horrible surface mount + tiny pin problems.
