I'm using Linx HP-3 series 900Mhz modules with good results.  About
400ft @ 19200 bps.  Digikey has them:
TXM-900-HP3-PPO-ND
RXM-900-HP3-PPO-ND (out of stock, but RXM-900-HP3-PPS-ND is compatible).
Not particularly cheap tho.  ($45 for the receiver).
