The laser printer toner will actually remelt onto the PCB, but the ink would do no such thing. I've had much better luck with photosensitive methods than with toner transfer, and better luck with the negative resist method than the positive resist. I'd like to know, however, if anyone has ever tried toner transfer using one of those nice Tektronix melted wax color printers. It seems to me that it may produce a better transfer and a more thorough coating over the board. Anyone? I may just try it...
