I use International Rectifier Igbt's, rated at 1200V and 50Amps in a to-247 package (IRG4PH50S ), also in a resonant mode circuit running with up to 1100V and 40A. IRG4PSH71K is rated at 78Amps 1200V. Some time ago I had failures with oter makes of power fets, IR's rep. explianed that it was the parasitic bipolar transistor that turns on when you draw reverse recovery current in the body diode and that IR had solved the problem. I tested parts from a few different manufacturers (all called IRF840) and only the genuine IR parts survived. I now use IR power devices.
