This part is sepcifically designed fro resonant circuits anmd they specifically note that it MUST be switched at zero crossing of voltage or current (interestingly). I haven't delved deeply as it's not for me BUT the part is very impressively rated if it were going to be used in normal applications. 900 volts and 60 A in a TO247 is moderately impressive. I'll be looking at alternatives but it's hard to beat the exact same part. There is a small ongoing requirement for these.
