Hello, I've been working on writing a programmer for a 18F458 for the last little while, and I've manged to develop the code to the point where I can reliably read the contents of the chip. The problem I've been having though is with programming the chip. I've followed the examples in the PIC programming guide for the 18FXX2 and 18FXX8 chips, but no luck. Is there some special sequence that's required to program the chip that's not documented in that file? For a bit of background: the hardware for the programmer provides the 12.6V high voltage programming line. I know that the hardware is working, since I used it before to program 18F84As. Also, the hardware does read the chip. Any pointers to where else I need to look (or any insight as to what I may be doing wrong) would be greatly appreciated.
