Jan-Erik,

 The first three commented lines were an experiment to see the effects of
 a time delay (2 ms) and the clearing of the AD interrupt flag, both of
 which failed, hence they were commented out.  They are not included in
 the actual application.   The other two commented lines are to read the
 LSB from bank 1, but since we can't get there, we commented them out
 to get a better idea of where the program was hanging.   They are normally
 included in the application.
