Better than a 741.
They re single supply but not true rail to rail.
Data sheet, read carefully, reveals all.
Natsemi AN-116 (4 pages) introduces them in single supply mode.

Also the Natsemi data sheet is 20 pages with numerous application circuits.

It has a nasty behaviour when driving AC coupled loads near ground but is Ok
on DC.

Input common mode is Vdd-1.5v afair but Vout can be near Vdd.
