I used to be an IT Manager for a medium sized uk company and colour printing in volume was a priority. We tried inkjets but they were just too expensive and slow, colour lasers but they were expensive on consumables and finally settled on the Tekronix Phaser. Print costs were cut to a third of what they used to be and with Tektronix offer of free black ink for the life of the printer, it soon became the office workhorse. We bought the Phaser that took the solid wax ink pellets - its a very fast printer and probably the most reliable in the building. Its also paid for itself over the first year with the savings on the colour and black ink. Well worth the initial outlay. I left the company about a year ago to stay at home and look after the kiddie but I went back there a couple of weeks ago and it was still there churning out reams of paper :-) The printer is now around 2 1/2 - 3 years old and must have printed many 10's thousands copies. ----- Original Message ----- From: "yajyaj" To: Sent: Monday, October 20, 2003 10:50 PM Subject: [OT:] Color Printer My fancy HP 2250 printer just died. Do any of you have a RELIABLE color printer you really like? Preferably, something with an Ethernet connection.
