Actually I'm using v8.01PL3, again, don't want to update it if at all possible. > Just for kicks, have you tried a short path instead of a long path? Yup, tried one in c:\temp, with the same problem. > Is your filename 8 characters or less? Because of MPLAB5 I've always limited myself to 8 characters, I know 6 is "supposed" to allow more but I saw "strangeness" when I tried a while ago, so I've stuck with 8 characters. > (Not sure off the top of my head if these last two questions makes a > difference, but might be worth playing with.) > I always use 8 or less characters in my filenames. > > I'm using PICC Lite Compiler version V8.02PL1 and MPLAB 6.32 under Windows > XP Pro and everything seems to be working ok so far (knock on wood). It was working fine before, I can't think of any changes. I haven't even used MPLAB since the last time it worked. Very annoying. Assembly projects work fine, every c project has this problem.
