Thanks for the tips Jesse, Brian, and Lawrence. I will likely be editing the board and adding in a plane somewhere. The device isn't switching loads, but one of the chips on board runs at 50MHz, so I try to be as careful as I can. Now to find a cheap place to do the double sided through hole plating. The university student option at Advanced (www.4pcb.com) is good at $33 a board in singles, but they quoted me $50-$75 in shipping. I emailed back to clarify...seems awfully high for a single 2.5" by 3.5" board. Anyone have any tricks for home made vias that are perfectly flat on at least one side of the board? I need vias under a flat pack SMD. ARG!
