why do I see.....a big flashing sign.....danger....danger.... L5-30 is a 30A device, locking while most 3 prong plugs are either 15A or 20A. Thus if you adapte a device that requires more than 20A, its going to either heat up the cables or pop the breaker (latter hopefully) Not that many of us haven't done this......
