what type of system are you running....I've got a RH9 server setup on
the end of my cable modem for exactly that purpose.  I could put/get
files from my home machine through a folder on my Win2000 desktop at
work.... very easy to setup and Linux runs well on that "old PC" that
you might have sitting around.....
