Not really a stupid question, because it is quite a loop to get to work in
the UK.

The easiest way is to have a UK born parent or grandparent, which then gives
you entry almost as of right. However the grandparent route is getting
tougher. Your next best route would be to get a potential employer to
sponsor you, but that may be hard. If you seriously want to try to work in
the UK you should enquire at the British Embassy to see just what the exact
requirements are.

That helps, but in view of the number of immigrants and dialects here almost
anything goes.
